First quarter perspective

Today marked the end of the first quarter of the school year. I know that our students often measure time at school from a “half empty” perspective and see this as being that much closer to the end of the year. I hope we all encourage our kids to live in the moment and not wish their time at school away. I am very proud of our students and teachers this year. We have a great group of students and the building has a very positive feel to it. Being a 5th or 6th grader only happens once in a persons life and WIS has so much to offer everyone both academically and socially. My advice to our students is to take time to enjoy where you are in your educational career and life. You will never be given another today.

Look ahead to next week:
10/18-10/22 – Red Ribbon Week
10/18 – Title 1 reading night
Hot Cocoa Cafe
10/19 – School Board meeting
10/20 – Running Club
10/21 – Student Council Meeting
10/22 – AM Choir
Book Fair begins
Fall parties
